The Indianapolis 500, known as The Greatest Spectacle in Racing, is the world’s largest spectator-sporting event. Experience a century of tradition while you explore and witness the limits of man and machine. More than 300,000 fans from around the world will travel to Indy to witness an event like no other. MPI’s Experiential Event Series will offer attendees a unique experience in sports event management, and you’ll have a front row seat.

Event & Program Highlights

  • Opportunity to interact and meet with key event organizers who will share operational insights from the teams that plan, program and produce the 101st Running of the Indianapolis 500. Also hear from 500 Festival leadership responsible for producing one of the biggest parades in the country and community events throughout the month of May.
  • High-level education in the areas of sports event management, security and crowd control, revenue generation including corporate/suite sales, media relations, catering, VIP coordination, housing, transportation, entertainment set-up, logistics and much more
  • Go behind the scenes at premier race weekend events, including:
    • 500 Festival Snakepit Ball – Race weekend’s most exclusive party, the 500 Festival Snakepit Ball attracts celebrities and VIPs for jaw-dropping entertainment, national recording artists X Ambassadors, inspired food stations, and signature cocktails. Walk the red carpet and go behind the scenes of one of the region’s premier event venues, the historic Indiana Roof Ballroom.
    • 101st Running of the Indianapolis 500 – Tour the Race Control and Situation Room - security headquarters for this SEAR 2 event, step inside the exclusive Pagoda, and gain special track access the morning of the race. Experience a century of tradition and the greatest spectacle in racing in VIP fashion.
    • Meet and engage with your new favorite IndyCar drivers during evening receptions.

Event Cancellation by MPI:
Meeting Professionals International (MPI) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If MPI cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, MPI has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date. MPI will not be responsible for reimbursement of any participant’s expenses related to the cancellation or postponement of an event.
